This quite gaudy theatre setting in Oslo is what we were faced with for an event for a major soft drinks manufacturer.

The client wished the delegates, all of their European bottlers and distributors to have a good time. They also wanted to provide a business setting for the meetings that would be taking place.

The theatre was visually very striking but not what was required by the client. We therefore needed to create a strong stage set to draw the eye and guide all the attention to the speakers as well as brand the room.

It was impossible to out-do the venue decor and it would have been far too costly and time consuming to screen it all off. We needed to work with it.

We decided on a soft set as these are amongst the most versatile and cost effective solutions for the larger venues. The sails are ideal to fill a large area whilst only needed a fraction of the trucking space that a more traditional flats set would need.

We used subtle warm lighting in the room itself and projection onto the sail set along with strong speaker lighting all designed to direct attention towards the stage area.
